Development of an operational coastal oceanography pilot system in Mediterranean

The aim of this project is to continue the production of an information system able to provide in near real-time, the analysis and forecasts in coastal areas, concerning physical conditions of the environment and quality of the water bodies. The main components of the system are the data acquisition, the observation and the satellitar measurement part, the data management in real-time, the modelling of hydrodynamics and biogeochemical processes for analysis and forecast. This project was approved in May 2006.
