This project, which was approved in February 2007, concerns the predictive maintenance of composite structures in a marine environment. Its goal is the implementation of a method enabling the continuous control of the status of interfaces in materials, according to the following three steps:

  • Identification of a tracer parameter to monitor the physicochemical deterioration of interfaces in composite systems, within a marine environment.
  • Integration of optic fibres within composites.
  • Validation of concept and obtained results
