Research partner :
INRIA Bordeaux
Budget:
2.3 M € over 24 months, funded by the ANR. Starting work in late 2009.The SPREAD project (Tracking Radar and Optronics Liabilities for conservation and protection of coastal infrastructure) proposes to deploy a site of interest by means of passive detection (passive radar, AIS station and network of high-resolution camera), to conduct experimentation keeping maritime situation merged completely discreet, all types of ships and mobile. Optronics camera with multi-spectral data fusion and embedded intelligence. This "technical platform" will develop and evaluate new generation of algorithms for extracting blocks (ships and mobile) and tracking (trajectory) from a combination of actual multi-sensors, making the cross-calibration between the sensors and develop a situation bound to approach coastal marine permanently and completely unobtrusive (that is to say that the detection means used are completely undetectable by the technical support available criminals to commit acts of malevolence (sabotage, bombings, hostage taking, etc..).This project was certified in April 2009.
